That's been my issue, all the projections I've seen are in comparison to the Spanish flu from 100 years ago 

I think Spanish flu took a dip and then came back even more radge twice over two years

We've got fuck all food in, been out for dinner and had takeaways since Wednesday with my birthday and stuff. Just gave the wife some cash and told her to get what she can tomorrow. At least we've got loo roll, gave some to the neighbour earlier after she couldn't get any in the 5 shops she tried

Really getting a sense of people's priorities during this. Got a group chat where some of them are worried about their families, sure, but what's actually bothering a few of them is the stock market. I get it, their pensions or investments are tied in to it but fuck me man, is money/a stock portfolio really the first thing you think of when they all have elderly relatives who are at major risk?

Yeah, I don't understand the bog roll thing - not like diarrhoea is a symptom Just got to hope that when people get the extent to which this is for the long haul (i.e. you don't just get to stock up for a few weeks until it blows over), and supply lines aren't affected (assuming supply lines don't end up being affected ) the panic buying aspect of all this will blow over.

The past 4-5 years have just been a procession of all the things this generation thought could never happen to us, eh? Except a world war, of course

It's going to be total lockdown this side of the pond shortly. Schools now closed until at least April 20th, no gatherings over 50 people for 8 weeks, from 9am on Tuesday restaurants and bars closed for anything but takeout/delivery.
