Maybe if we kept them and built them up with our superior facilities and number of coaches, they may have improved. Not many players survive being thrown onto the football scrapheap unceremoniously.

Chuck in a Lafferty, a Gordon, an Ozturk, a Gomis, a Smith here and there and you've got a nice team that the fans have a connection with.

A blend of youth and experience, rather than a blend of experience and totally past it.

Aye it's Scottish football, have a spine of local lads who'll break their back for the club and chuck in a Lafferty, Isma or Skinny to do the fancy stuff and you'll do well. We had guys like Rudi and Fyssas  come in and built a strong connection with the club and fans, same with a lot of the Liths especially Zal and Miko. Nowadays we bring in dross like Uche who play for Budge and Levein not the club
