The concept of "outrage", which has taken on an entirely new definition of its own in the past ten years. Almost inevitably involves the perpetually-offended masses on Twitter echo-chambering their demands for apologies for a week or two, before moving on to the next target. So tiresome.

Doing work on a tunnel at winchburgh (sp?) until end of July so every cunt in Scotland seems to be travelling on my line now that that line in to Edinburgh is closed going to have to change my shift at work

What is it you do? Didn't take you for manual labour.
Edit. Got it. You're not doing the work on the tunnel. Sounds like my Leith walk pilrig problem.

What's with this new way to describe the date? Seen it a lot in Americanised trailers "IN CINEMAS JULY 2", and actually saying "July Two". Seems it's now made it's way to print, as the Metro this morning had the upcoming Euros fixtures as October 8. Not a fan.

Think that's possibly a classic case of Microsoft Office influencing our use of language. I'm sure it autocorrects or suggests a change in Word documents, folk will have that influencing them if they use it at work regularly. Have seen a massive upturn in the letter z cropping up in an americanised style as well, and the word 'practise" has basically been eliminated from most folk's vocabularies. As a massive British English snob, it disgusts me tbh

My work pc is set to US-English and I can't be fucked changing it.
Does mean I need to overwrite the z's in a lot of words.

You'd rather do that than click the language button?

It's set correctly for all my outlook apps and appears right on the browser. For some reason it won't change.

Mine in work is the same to be fair. I change it constantly but with every end of day security update it wipes a lot of my settings. Really irritating, especially since Word seems to have an autocorrect function installed now, so it corrects me when I use "practise" or "organisation" - you resent it when you're right

Same for me.

MS Office is a fucking nightmare when you're writing in two languages within the same document. Constantly trying to autocorrect stuff or giving you wee wavy red lines which disappear and come back.
When you start a sentence with 'Tu te' it consistently tries to change it to 'Tut e', which to the best of my knowledge doesn't even mean anything in English.

Guy on the bus is doing the arm around his bird with his face inches from hers move. Can someone explain this one? Like he's leaning round so his face is in front of hers to look at her.
