Game 3 tonight, better than what has gone before but the heat was a killer tonight.
Scored a few goals tonight too, but my shooting from range is still woeful.
Was fine when one on one or coming in for a cut back, but anything beyond was like I was trying to clear the ball out the fucking pitch!! Foot like a five iron from any range beyond 12 yards.
Got beat by 3 tonight too which didn't help the mood much, they just seemed to get the break of every ball off the boards and they had a boy in goals for the majority of the night who's 6ft 8†and all legs and arms, was like shooting into Inspector Gadget.
I'm playing on Monday evenings. Sometimes I feel like I'm (relatively, in the knowledge I'm shite) totally up to speed, and other times it's like I've never seen a football before. I'm really just there to run around.
Not doing too badly with post-game aches and pains tbh.
Played my first game in about 2 year a couple of weeks back, jumped for a ball going over my head and landed on my heel and heard a loud crack. Not played since and can barely put weight on my back of my foot. Not sure why I still attempt to play.
