Here's some conspiracy based on half arsed rumours:

Gordon went to the board when he wasn't getting a game raging.
Favours were pulled. Clarke (one of the Dubai boiz) is out of the team and his high profile mates are pissed off about it (including the 'captain' and Francis)
Since then, the dressing room is a mess
Barry McKay has absolutely chucked it and actually refused to play in a game v Celtic which is why he has been disappeared.

Just some wee random bits of rumours. It's not as simple for Wee Neil as we think by the way

I don't buy any of this re Gordon, doesn't fit with his personality at all that he'd go crying to get his place back. Far more likely that Naismith and his 2 number 1's bullshit has caused more bother than it was worth, as predicted.

McKay's bullshit I can absolutely buy, he'll be playing for Ross County in a few years and look out of place.

I don't really believe it either tbh but it's a rumour that keeps popping up and something is definitely going on.

You can guarantee that all or at least 99% of these dressing room 'rumours' are made up or have been changed completely in a chain of Chinese whispers.

If Clark had been in goals and made the mistakes that Gordon has we would be chambering for him to be dropped, as long as the Hibs transfer rumours are nonsense then the same should happen for Gordon. Keep both them on there toes
