The main point of the post was the inconsistency of the rules with the same ref, they were apparently just fine in the game before but a clean slide in the next wasn't cool.

Was playing tonight and a boy playing nearly collapsed in the heat, took a crazy dizzy spell and scudded into the boards while trying to track his runner.

Not sure playing the World Cup in Qatar in such a good plan……

A boy called off at 6pm tonight for a 8pm start. What are folks thoughts on that? I'd be expecting a severe family bereavement rather than some feeble excuse tbh. In favour of blacklisting his name.

Nothing worse than 5 v 4, the 5 either don't take it seriously and it's like a shit training exercise, or they just go for it and it ends up a complete hammering.

Played in a few really good 4 v 4 games though.

Had a boy drop out a few years ago saying he'd stepped in broken glass. This was about half an hour before the game. Got booted out the group and have never seen him again

We tend to switch a player from the team of five to the team of four every shree goals or so, so you're never on a team of four for long. Think it works quite well.
