Needless to say when my associate pointed out who he was and I noticed that he’d clearly been shot in the face before, I didn’t play at my best.

But like 2na said, if you don’t act like a bellend, you’ll be left well alone, going into these places with a camera is just asking for bother.

my wee brother is a very decent runner, gets sponsored to wear gear, does a sub 3hr marathon.

Says he'd manage maybe three minutes at that pace if he was lucky. Most fairly fit people couldn't even reach that pace at their fastest.

Fastest I ever did was a (just) sub-20 minute 5k and it just about ended me. A 2-hour marathon is better than a 15-minute 5k, repeated over 8 times
