I kind of enjoyed them getting promoted and was backing them in a way but with Hopkins going under strange circumstances, their pitch, their empty tattie stadium and appointing Kenny Miller as manager, shaking hands with his opposite number with his full kit on and then sacking him two games in, throw them out the league.

Apparently he's quit because they wanted him to give up playing and be a full time manager.

That'll maybe be the official line but if you really rated him as a decent manager then you'd let him have his last (max 2) season before becoming a manager full time. They'll just want rid of him because he's humpty, and not that good a player anymore.

Spartans have named one of their pitches after the guy from my year who committed suicide.

Really nice touch from them, he worked for them since he was about 18 I'm sure.
