More serious answer is that the US would’ve already forced regime change in the last few months if it wasn’t for Russia sending them hypersonic missiles. The US are weighing up bombing the shit out of it but they know their navy vessels and their navymen will be blown up in reply and that’s not something they are committed to - maga folks don’t love servicemen dying for hawkish neolib battles and the US can’t just build more warships like back in the day. So we are stuck in a stasis with the US Navy bullying them in Venezuelan waters in the hope to destabilise things while the propaganda machine sets the theatre for war by valorising Machada.

Americans have always had an obsessive issue with Venezuela, it was always their go to alongside Cuba to decry how socialism doesn’t work. Didn’t expect them to invade and kidnap the president mind.
