With the growth in Western interest in Martial Arts a guy called Art Davie approached Royce Gracie due to the families history of holding Vale Tudo events and proposed holding a tournament in the US to determine he most effective style and that led to the first UFC event. Also re grappling, it's harder to understand the nuances than striking if you have no experience. Head position, hip position and wrist control are good things to look for. Or if really don't like grappling Glory Kickboxing is probably more up your street.

See they're disbanding flyweight (not a great class anyway) but not offering all the fighters the move to bantamweight. Just completely cutting them off. Pretty shit tactic.
Another win for One and Bellator though who can pick these guys up and manage them properly.
