“We have another year of pain before we really start to see the benefits of all this new infrastructure,†said Levein, who performs joint roles as director of football and manager at Tynecastle. Asked if it will impact on this season's playing budget, he replied: “For sure it will. Absolutely. We have something like another £1.5million to spend on the stand. “Once the whole thing is finished – and by finished I mean everything inside that can help make us money – then it puts us in a much better position than we were in last year.
Read more at: https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/s...-1-4742202 We're pretty skint aye. 8 or so very cheap options so far. There will be no big names.

A lot of people discussing things on kickback are expecting 4-5 more signings and 2-3 of them to be big names. They are in for a shock.

Liked the look of Sonny Bradley. Luton now favourites to sign him. Big Andy Webster type. But more mobile. Plymouth fans rate highly.
And right back Aaron McGowan signing for mystery Scottish premier club from Morecambe. Be surprised if it's us with Godinho and Smith. But again, rated highly. All relative. Rated highly at a level that is kinda us with a £3k ceiling. Kerr centre half at St J would be a good addition but still in contract. We're meant to have an interest. Sammon plus cash hopefully. McLaughlin now doing my head in with his hokey cokey. Mitchell meant to be returning. Again. Think a couple more arrivals then 2 big departures when most of ST money banked.

We won't be making a bid for Adao.
All the eggs in the basket of thinking djoum might be interested when he returns.

Gambling on Djoum would just be total
![]() Overrated as far as I'm concerned and barely interested when he plays. Plus I'm sure he's going into the last year of his deal so won't be trying a leg in case he jeoprodises his dream move to Man Utd.

They are different type of players and Djoum is probably not going to be match fit until October. This one I think simply comes down to us not having/wanting to finance a deal for him. Which I would say is the correct call.

Djoum was great before his injury this season, so hopefully he returns with that form. Definitely needs a physical DM in behind him.

Folk pretending that signing benchwarmers for championship sides means we are flush ffs, despite the club literally telling us we're skint. How much money do they think guys like Mulraney and Burns are going to be on ![]()

Kickback seems to think Olly Lee is Paul Scholes in his prime.

Burns is Ryan Sessegnon and Lee is Paul Scholes.

This is basically us building a squad full of the kind of players teams like Motherwell would normally sign. If it all somehow clicks perfectly we could be looking at challenging for third, and equally if it all goes terribly wrong we could be fighting relegation. The likelihood is that we'll most likely be somewhere in between - bottom of top six/top of bottom six mediocrity again. Hold me back.

Obviously we aren't flush, but there's a difference between only signing dross skint and fire sale to pay for the stand skint

Not the end of the world but just another position we will end up gambling on an unknown player with.

Club still hopeful of agreeing a deal for Skinny, I'd say £250-300k is max we should pay.

300,000 large for a player Levein hardly plays
