Folks' heads are away if they would "take" a cup win if we went down.

Standing on McLeod street applauding the players that took us down because they were able to turn it on for the cameras, and the players themselves lapping it up on an open-top bus Monty Ha

Would be a national embarrassment. If we go down but win the cup we shouldn't even have a parade imo.

I think the final is a few games before the end of the season due to the Euros so it could be a very bizarre last few weeks. Laugh

Doesn't have to be one for the other. We all want us to stay up and win the cup. Personally I don't think relegation makes the cup win meaningless. It's still a cup win.

Doesn't the Scottish Cup get us into Europe?

Think the way the season runs this year we'd go down if we won the cup though Laugh

Is it? Laugh

What's the reasoning behind that? Always felt the SC was valued higher by fans (my last posts aside Titter ) and clubs up here than the FA Cup is in England, so it would be a shame if the SFA were behind it rather than Sky.

If there is one thing we know, it's that the SFA make very sensible decisions.

I'm sure it's to do with getting Hampden “dressed” for the Euro's, something to do with the branding and sponsorship and all that malarkey.

Supposedly the SFA had no say in it, but I'm convinced that the English won't have the same issue at Wembley. Monty Oh Well

Won by players who finished below Hamilton and St Mirren to relegate us, who earned £9m collectively doing so. Like I say, national embarrassment.

UEFA need access to stadiums being used for the Euros by the 15th May I think I read somewhere so that's why the final was moved.

Why couldn't they just move it to one of the three other 50,000-seater stadia in the country and have it at the end of the season? Laugh

Should just bulldoze Hampden tbh. Play the bigger games at Murrayfield, Ibrox or Parkhead and the smaller ones at Tynie, ER and Pittodrie. Makes us look tinpot as fuck when it's half-empty for friendlies and semis.

Would be weird to be playing in a cup final and then have an even bigger game at home against a random assortment of posties/joiners/car salesmen Laugh

The players just need to sort out their attitude in the league. It's so clearly the players at fault that it isn't even debatable anymore.

It was blatantly obvious Stendel changed the shape to suit the players. As I requested Smugqq

I've put up with a relegation before. It was shite, but it was temporary. Our cup wins have been some of the best days of my life and they last forever May Bee

It's not a choice, but if it were I'd take the silverware likes.

This. If we go down we come right back up and it's business as usual. The last relegation year is a distant memory now. Cup wins don't go away and they're not forgotten.

Winning the cup would show our players up as total charlatans, phoning it in when it mattered in the league but upping their game when the scouts might be watching. Would get no joy out of that whatsoever.

No joy out of a cup win Comical Ally

Nae bother Neave Monty Chuckle

I fucking despised Levein and basically all of our players last year, but when we scored that goal in the cup final all of it went away.

On the fence with this one. If someone could guarantee we'd romp the championship the next season i'd take the relegation for the cup win.

As long as we didn't do a Dundee United and take a few years to return.
