"Former Conservative leader Lord Hague has called for a "decisive change" in the law on cannabis - suggesting that the Tories should consider legalising recreational use of the drug." 14 pints of ale and then off for some bifters.

Unsure how the government can allow one person in Britain to use cannabis to treat their epilepsy but no one else
![]() Not that the kid shouldn't be allowed it, but would like to see their justification on why 99% of other people with epilepsy or other illnesses that can be treated with cannabis aren't allowed to use it. Tories are saying they'll pretty much never allow it to be legal recreationally and I doubt we're ever going to have a medicial system like America's. Sad

Saw that - it's not even so much that he said it as that he then smugly shared it to show the public that he's not scared to get a schoolchild telt.

I speak no French, but I'm pretty sure you can pinpoint the moment where the kid realises Macron isn't joking and is actually giving him a row
06-20-2018, 08:43 AM
Apparently the boy has actually been quite badly affected by it - getting bullied at school and is worried it'll give teachers in his new school (he's going from junior high school to high school proper) a bad impression of him.
But at least Macron got to show the nation he won't take shit from insolent children. I know I'm a broken record with the Macron stuff, but this is just such a weird episode.

Labour MPs poised to defy Corbyn and vote with the government to give them total control over the Brexit negotiations
'Opposition', 'Jeremy Corbyn is a good leader' What a shower - hey, at least Corbyn can do a speech at some music festival

The whole country needs a competent opposition leader who can challenge the government and the prime minister, especially when May is doing such a shite job of things.
Corbyn, despite his appeal to students and festival goers, isn't a credible leader to the masses, and as such won't win an election, even against May and her shocker of a record in charge. I'd genuinely like someone to lead the Labour Party who can appeal to the masses while challenging May and holding her to account, especially at PMQ's, and Corbyn just isn't that man.

I'm not at all sure that's true. Election campaigns suit him and could hardly suit May less. And only Corbyn, for all his many many limitations, is capable of inspiring enough people on the left to get out and vote. Without him, the Tories have a free run.

Corbyn
Not a fucking chance will Labour get a majority with him at the wheel.

For me, Labour need someone like David Lammy to unite the party as a whole, not someone who's closer to retirement than he is to becoming leader of the country.
