I still back anyone that votes anti-tory. Doesn't matter if it's lib dem, labour, greens, snp whatever.
In a vaccum it's clear that if Starmer pursued a moderate social democratic strategy then it would appeal to enough people to be elected. But he's decided instead to take the path of least resistance which is appealing more and more to centre, centre right. I don't think it's a particularly safer strategy, it has it's own risks. He may get an easier time from the print media and may help him tip-toe around the culture wars in the short term, but it's very easy to lose credibility until you stand for nothing and become a figure of ridicule.
