Another good one would be Chaos2 or Panic Attack. Seems the best bots were just the ones with a flipper as it doubled as a self-righting mechanism. All the folk with sawblades and pickaxes used to have their weapons break down.

Neutral rep: possy for the anti-authoritarian stance, neggy for being such a nerd you have a Robot Wars code of acceptable references.

Wiki tells me ( Dank ) that Hypnodisc never even won it. Shite IMO Smug

Having a quick shot of the Robot Wars video game at friends of my parents' house down in Leeds was the pinnacle of my childhood.

I was like 6 when Robot Wars was around, hardly nerdy. Laugh Counter-neutral rep for you - Neggy for using Wikipedia for anything ( APRant ), pozzy for recognising my anti-authoritarian badboy image.

I loved that game for PS2. Sound

I can tell you one thing that I definitely wasn't doing between the ages of 18 and 21, and that's watching Robot Wars.

Sunday morning TV was the only thing to get me through the hangovers/comedowns in those years of my life, as I still lived with my parents my room was my only place of solitude.

Sure we've discussed this before, but having a pint on your own? Meeting got cancelled so I had an hours wait on my mate, decided to just head to 99 and have one on my own rather than go home and come back.

Suppose it doesn't really count when someone is coming to meet you but I still feel a bit awkward.

Not an issue IMO, especially if you're waiting on someone.

Don't just sit on your phone though - that looks a bit weird

Quite happy to have a pint on my own if it's just one. Nothing wrong with that.

Nobody would raise an eyebrow if you were reading a book or a paper with a pint, imo. Being on your phone looks like you've been stood up.
