The switch to early weigh-ins has seen a stupidly high number of fighters miss weight in the last 18 months, more than 50.

This year every fighter over their billed weight has gone on to win the fight, the measures the UFC are taking to combat this are clearly insufficient. Earlier this month Mackenzie Dern was so far over the weight she was just off the next weight category, yet the fight went ahead and she won easily.

I think weigh-ins and cutting need a major overhaul, it's bullshit you have someone fighting at 77kg when they really weigh 84/85.

He doesn't have to do it, he just wanted to be able to fight at a weight two divisions below his real weight.

The majority of fighters do it though and aren't going to stop and give an advantage to their opponent so it's up to the organisations to do something about it.
